Don’t Go To Church… Be The Church

The body of Christ, disciples, believers, need to stop going to church and be the church.

If the church start being the church, we wouldn’t need a building to be the church.  We could be the church anywhere and everywhere.  We would truly be mobile to “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:” Mat 28:19.  We wouldn’t have to ask, “Did you go to church or What church do you go to?”

If the church start being the church, we could be the church at work, at home, in our car, and there would be no limits of where we could be the church.

If the church start being the church, we wouldn’t have to become incorporated to be a 501c3 tax exempt status church because we wouldn’t need a building.

If the church start being the church, we would all be able to share the Word of God with anyone, anytime and not depend on one person to do all the preaching and teaching.

We are so consumed with going to church every Sunday or Wednesday or Saturday or which ever day you choose, that we have forgotten that we are the church.  The church is the body of Christ.  Where is it written in the Word of God that the church is a place you go to?

“Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.”  Heb 10:25  This scripture does not mean you need a building.  We can assemble anywhere and at anytime.

Jesus taught in the temple and in the synagogues and so did the disciples but they knew that these buildings was not the church.  They did not buy or own any buildings or become incorporated to or with the Roman Government.

But now, we all ask, are you going to church?  I blame all the pastors for this error.  It is more convenient for them that people go to their church building, so they can get paid.  You pastors are no better than the Pharisees.

“But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in.”  Mat 23:13

The kingdom of heaven does not come with observation, the kingdom of heaven is within you. Your body is the temple of God.

There is a reason why the bible say, “For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?” 1 Peter 4:17

Judge your selves and you will not be judge.

I bet some of you think the House of God is a church building.   You are the house of God.  God dwells in you.  That means, everywhere you are, the church is there.  You don’t have to wait till Sunday or Wednesday or Saturday or any other day of the week.

Like the scriptures says, “For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.”  Jude 1:4

These men were the owners of these church buildings.  The creation of these church buildings has corrupted the body of Christ.  The buildings are owned by a corporation.  A corporation is a business.  A business is created by the State.  All non-profit organizations are bound by State Laws.  Your church building is part of a corporation, a 501c3 tax exempt business.  Your pastors and board of trustees  are corporations.  This is not the church that the Lord Jesus of Nazareth built.

“And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.”  Mat 16:18  Is Peter a church building made with wood and nails and cement?  Was Jesus talking to a building made of wood and nails and cement?  So where did we get it, that the church is a building made with wood and nails and cement?  Re-Read Jude 1:4

It is time for the body of Christ to wake up.  If you are a follower of Jesus Christ, you need to act like it.  Do you think you’re being a doer of the Word of God just because you go to a church building?

Mat 13:23-25
23 Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved?  And he said unto them, 24 Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able. 25 When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are:

Just going to a church building is not enough.  You are the church and you must be the church everywhere you go, not just inside a building.

Matthew 18:20

For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.
