Is the Law of the Holy One of Israel Still Valid and Relevant
The bible has two testaments, the Old Testament and the New Testament. The New Testament was written during and after the Life of the Lord Jesus Christ the Redeemer and Savior of Israel. The New Testament includes the four Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. It also contains the Book of Acts, all the Epistles and the Book of Revelation of Jesus Christ.
20 And unto the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might gain the Jews; to them that are under the law, as under the law, that I might gain them that are under the law;
21 To them that are without law, as without law, (being not without law to God, but under the law to Christ,) that I might gain them that are without law.
So we see here in scripture that the Apostle Paul, in his Epistle to the Romans, which was way after the death and resurrection of our Lord and Savior, the Holy One of Israel, Jesus Christ, said that unto the Jews he became a Jew, that he might gain them as a Jew. He then continues to address them them that are under the law. So that means that after the death and resurection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the Holy One of Israel, that the Jews still was under the Law. The Law did not pass away when the Lord Jesus Christ died on the cross.
And the second part of the verse refers to Gentiles and Non Hebrew people. According to scripture in Genesis Chapter 10, the earth was divided into three different class of peoples descending from Noha, who are Shem, Ham and Japheth.
All the people of the isles of the Gentiles come from the descendants of Japheth.
Now, the Apostle Paul wrote this letters to the Romans, so the Romans were considered Gentiles. So as you can see, the law applies also to the Gentiles, which is the Law of Christ. And since Christ obey the Law, the Gentiles that receive Christ must obey the Law.
Next are the descendants of Ham. The descendants of Ham are of darker skinned with melanin. After Ham are the descendants of Shem.
The descendants of Shem also have dark skin but are of a different nation than Ham. The descendants of Shem are Negros who are referred to as Hebrews. And the Lord God chose Abraham of the Hebrews to be a Father of many nations and promised him a son, while he and his wife was very old, wich was Issac. And Issac had two sons, which are Jacob and Easu. The scriptures says, God hated Esau, but loved Jacob. Jacob the younger son, received the belessing from his Father Issac, rather than Esau the oldest son. Jacob’s name was changed by an Angel to Israel. Jacob offspring are the Twelve Trives of Israel who received the Law and the oracles of God the Father.
This is what our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ of Nazareth, the Holy One of Israel had to say about the Law of the God of Israel.
17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
So, our Lord and Savior, the Holy One of Israel, Jesus Christ our Redeemer said that He did not come to destroy the law or the prophets. So, what does that mean? It means that the law and prophets are still valid and relevant. Why is that true? Because, he then says, He came to fulfil the law and the prophets. That does not mean, He came to take the law and the prophets away. He goes on to say, that till heaven and earth pass, not one jor or tittle shall in no way pass from the law till all be fulfilled. So, All has not been fulfilled yet, so that means that the law is still valid.
So all the Tribes of Israel in the Old Testatment received the law and were under the law to do it, including our Lord and Savior, The Holy One of Israel, Jesus Christ. And thanks be to the God of Israel that He, the Lord Jesus Christ was the only able to do it. And He kept the law until his death on the cross. He became sin for us. He died in our place. He became a curse for us. For cursed is everyone that is hanged on a tree, as the scriptures has said.
So what then, even after the death and resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Chirst, his disciples continued to keep the law. The obeying of the law did not pass away after He rose on the third day.
So, why are people going around saying we are not under the law but under grace?
Because they are either ignorant or deceived or both. If they are ignorant, that means that that do not know or understand the scriptures, know the power of God. If they are deceived, they that means that they chose not to believe the scriptures.
Let’s examine the scripture and see exactly what it says:
13 Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.
14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.
15 What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.
16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?
The 14th verse that says, ye are not under the law, but under grace does not mean that the law is done away with. It simply means that we will not be judged according to or under the Law, but by or under the Grace of our Lord and Savior, the Holy One of Israel, Jesus Christ.
We still must obey the law of the God of Israel and the Lord Jesus Christ.
4 But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,
5 To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.
6 And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.
7 Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.
So our Lord and Savior, the Holy One of Israel, Jesus Christ was sent forth from the Father, made in the form of human, to be born of a woman and was made under the law, to redeem them (Them Who?) Them that were under the law, (Who Were Under the Law? The Children of Israel) that we (We Who? The Children of Israel) might receive the adoption of sons.
10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.
11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
The world didn’t know who Jesus was and some still don’t know who He is. All of Israel did not receive Jesus as the Son of God but some of us did. But as many (Who Are The Many? The Children of Israel) as received Him, to them (Them Who? The Children of Israel), He gave them (Them Who? The Children of Israel) power to become sons of God, even to them (Them Who? The World) that believe on His name.
